    Cyclists and Triathletes Wind Training and Brick sessions. All levels of ability are welcome from Beginner to Elite athletes. Wind Training is a controlled environment and can make rapid improvements. It is optimal for drills, technique and specific performance targets isolating and concentrating in areas of Speed, Power and Zone workouts. With the encouragement of fellow athletes, this session is far from boring and get's you out of the living room. You must have your own Wind Trainer and bike to participate in this program..

      My passion for coaching and teaching started in 2002 Alice Springs after I focused on Ms Fitness training, continued coaching and personal training in Gove 2008 and then developed my Rehabilitation experience in Darwin 2010-2013. My own personal sporting achievements and fellow athletes encouraged me to become a Personal Trainer and coach, building my own part-time Aquatic Specialist Business. This has been a very special path for me, but it was time to leave the Territory and come home to family.

      After spending a very rewarding season as Head Coach for the Dolphins Swimming club, I stumbled across an opportunity to grow my dreams once again, but this time bringing all my knowledge and experience into one place to share with the Coolum community. This is a very very exciting journey, and I am looking forward to meeting some great people.

The sessions will involve a combination of Coordination, Balance, Functional Movement, Flexibility and low level cardio. This class is catered for those that have never exercised before, Seniors, and those that are coming back from surgery. We must have your Physicians approval before you can take part in this class.

    Functional Strength Training uses a variety of Balance, Coordination and Movement to build Functional Strength. In this class we use Medicine balls, Dumb-bells, Fitballs, Therah Bands, Buso balls, Redcord suspension training and a variety of other ways to get you results. The primary purpose of using the FITBALL is to help learn balance. The shape of the ball makes it inherently difficult to balance on. This makes the user to work harder. Incorporate weights developing Strength & Coordination whilst learning to balance enhances your functional movement. This tones even more muscles groups making an excellent workout. The FITBALL targets lower back, thighs & hips. These muscle groups provides the foundation for the whole body. This class gives you a better understanding of how the human body moves and through this we learn how to avoid injuries.

    About

    High Intensity Interval Training consists of short, intense bursts of exercise with either active recovery or complete rest in-between. This creates the Afterburn effect, burning extra calories by kickstarting the bodies repair cycle into hyperdrive, burning more calories than a steady paced run in the 24 hours post workout. In just 2 weeks of HIIT improvements are made over your aerobic capacity compared to over 6-8 weeks of endurance training. Training a Healthier Heart by pushing it into the anaerobic zone can produce extreme results. A study showed that after 8 weeks of HIIT cyclists doubled their endurance capabilities while maintaining the same pace. HIIT allows dieters to preserve their muscle mass & ensures most of the weight comes from fat stores WIN/WIN. HIIT stimulates production of Human Growth Hormones (HGH) by up to 450% during the 24 hours post workout. HGC is responsible for increased caloric burn but also slows down the ageing process, something else to smile about.

It provides the biological container and connector for EVERY organ (including muscle); meaning the body, and fascial net in particular, is a single connected unity in which the muscles and bones "float"! It is the organ system of stability & mechanoregulation. As children we enjoy wonderfully resilient fascial networks that we instinctively "know" how to look after - by rolling, bouncing, hopping, & skipping our way through child hood. This maintains the fascial networks' recoil properties, keeps it hydrated and able to move in ALL planes of direction. Unfortunately we abandon these movements as we age and injury and/or repetitive postural positions leave our fascial network stuck, or twisted, with limited Range of Movement and function, often resulting in PAIN.

Mojo FP Circuit is a 45min Functional Patterning circuit program set up & ready to go. It is strongly recommended that new members take a 45min $55 private session to integrate into the class with confidence, ensuring that we get the best out of you and improve where you are at in fitness & strength.
